My name is Kath, and a few years ago I was diagnosed with youngonset Alzheimer’s. Both of my parents also lived with Alzheimer’s, and my mum especially had a great love for ducks. To carry their memory with me, my daughter printed a little yellow duck, whom I named Flynn after my parents’ surname. Flynn now comes along with me on my adventures, bringing joy, laughter, and comfort wherever we go. I created this colouring book in memory of my parents, as a way of celebrating life, love, and the simple moments that matter most. Inside, you’ll find Flynn’s adventures—each page designed to be coloured, enjoyed, and shared. It is my hope that this book will find its way into nursing homes, day centres, and into the hands of anyone who enjoys colouring. I’d love for others to join me and Flynn in these adventures—because, as I like to say:
Adventures Before Dementia.
